London

The television is telling me 'Istanbul is the new cool' and I really want Istanbul and cool to rhyme now. That could just be the Lemoncello talking of course. We have just had dinner at an Italian restaurant and they presented us with two glasses of Lemoncello when they delivered the bill. I think it's a while since Sooz has had it because it really did take her breath away. She just had the one sip and then offered it to me. I declined her kind offer. I haven't had it for a while either - maybe ever, but I remember it from Mafia Mamma and it had disastrous effects when the drinks were 'shared' then.

I was back on the HOHO bus today, this time doing the full RED circuit on the BigBus, stating at Trafalgar Square. It was amazing to be at the scene of so many science fiction movie disasters and I couldn't help but wonder when the asteroid or other calamity would hit. It didn't stop me taking photos though - and no, I didn't try to recreate any (particular) movie.

The tourists were out in full strength today. Some were on the bus with me but many more were walking, talking, consulting maps and taking photos. You have to wonder how many tourists come to London each year, and how much of the economy is driven by tourism. We went back to Tropea at Russell Square for lunch today. I had the minestrone - yum, yum, yum, and Sooz had fish and chips. It is such a wonderful green space there and, of course, there are squirrels to look for.

This evening I posted the photographs I took today , Well, a small portion of them, 36 out of 9oo+.
